Mees Distributors, a source for ceramic tile and stone for over 70 years, is interviewing to hire an architectural representative in the Columbus area. A background in interior design is needed. This position requires meeting with local architects and designers; understanding their needs for upcoming projects as it pertains to our product lines. The end result would be getting our products specified.  Once specified, the projects would need to be tracked up to bid stage. Regular visits to their offices will be necessary to update the library. It also entails introduction of new products to the design staff at the various firms as the products become available. In time, CEU classes given to the architect and design communities will be required. Top notch people skills are a must. This person must be self motivating and customer service oriented. There will be evening monthly industry meetings to attend also. Working in the showroom on Saturday mornings is required. The candidate must be willing to travel. The territory covers Central Ohio, but no overnight travel is required. The position is salary with medical benefits, expense budget, and mileage for travel.
